Digital Finger Painting

I am drawing on the iPad with my finger and sometimes with a stylus. It is the same process David Hockney uses in his recent exhibit. The digital format is very different from the traditional way of making pictures. In some ways it is freer. In other ways it seems blocky or unresponsive.

I like the crude square lines sometimes. And other times I want to blend and soften the images. Mainly I am painting nature and portraits. But also a few other subjects as the mood may strike.
